In order to support the use of advanced technology in the classrooms, the University of Richmond and EDI developed a set of requirements for a new campus network that addressed performance, management, and security. EDI provided Network Security consulting and implementation services for the University, as well as developed the RFP for equipment, installation services, and annual maintenance. The scope of this project was divided into the following phases:
- Implementation of virus protection and intrusion detection systems
- DMZ and firewall configuration
- Development of security policies
and procedures
