Network & Communications

– Government

“Network strength is national strength.”  (www.Infoblox.com)

Government networks, whether federal, state, or local, are challenging to manage because of their size, scope, extreme security requirements, critical-mission services, and IT governance compliance. Any major IT issue within a government network can dramatically affect the lives of citizens, both domestic and abroad. Also facing the majority of federal, state, and local government agencies is the challenge of maintaining and improving overall network service quality with limited budgets and resources.

Government-based networks can be challenging to manage because of their size, scope, extreme security requirements, critical mission services, and IT governance mandates, such as STIG, IAVA, DISA, NSA and FISMA best practices. While a breach or failure at most corporate enterprises can result in serious consequences, few environments directly support national security agencies and armed forces, where any major IT issue can dramatically affect the lives of citizens, both domestic and abroad.

Planning ahead is imperative. EDI believes in designing the most effective solutions that leverage technology, as well as your mission, and takes a vendor-neutral, engineering-based approach to the design of your organization’s most critical communications systems.
