EDI has been eminently involved in the development and design of Sidra’s new, approximately 2 million sf, Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha, Qatar, since early 2008. This facility is the premier academic and research medical center, designed as an ultra-modern, all-digital academic medical center. As the senior technology consulting advisor for the Qatar Foundation, EDI was hired to provide detailed programming of the digital technology systems and data center. EDI is also assisting them with the design review for the technology digital systems for the entire complex comprised of the Women and Children’s Hospital, research clinic, and central services building. EDI continues to provide valuable feedback and review of all technology systems documents for this state-of-the-art design-build project. The Sidra Medical and Research Center will open in 2012.
