Solvay Pharmaceuticals Marietta, Georgia
Solvay wanted to relocate their data center to a larger, more hardened facility. Their previous facility had evolved over several years and the infrastructure had reached its maximum potential.
EDI developed a plan to relocate the data center to an existing standalone unoccupied building. The shell of the building was maintained and the roof was hardened. New mechanical, electrical, fire protection and cabling infrastructures were designed and installed to achieve a neir tier 3 data center level. EDI’s role included:
- Overall Master Planning
- Space Layouts
- Mechanical and Electrical Systems Programming
- Access Floor specifications
- LAN and Infrastructure design
- Construction monitoring
- Re-connectivity to other Campus buildings
- Re-connectivity for WAN/Internet services
- Relocation Strategy Planning
