This projected consisted of a new 450,000 square foot headquarters facility, including a 10,000 square foot data center. EDI provided master planning, programming, discovery, needs assessments, design, coordination, and recommendations for the complete data center.
We were able to reduce the required data center floor space down to 10,000 square feet from their existing space of approximately 18,000 squre feet. We accomplished this through improved space planning and more efficient use of cabinets and furniture. EDI also recommended that the slabe be depressed to eliminate ramps and to extend the depressed slab into office areas. Doing this accomodated the possibility of future data center expansion, removing the need for expensive and time consuming rebuilding.
