New Featured Project

Children’s Hospital of Alabama is planning to build a 781,000 square foot, $480 million expansion facility in downtown Birmingham , Ala. Construction is expected to begin in early 2009. The Children's Hospital of Alabama , the flagship of Children’s Health System, is the only free-standing hospital in the state dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children and one of the 10 busiest pediatric medical centers in the U.S. This project will have bridge connections to the existing hospital facility, the two adjacent buildings, and The University of Alabama Birmingham Health System’s new Women and Infants Center – another EDI project. EDI is providing the structured cabling, server room, nurse call, televisions, overhead paging, security systems, network and wireless systems, telephone systems, and audio-visual systems design services for this project.
