Qatar Foundation – Education City
Doha, Qatar
The Qatar Foundation developed a world class, state-of-the-art university, incorporating the latest in smart classroom technology, called Education City in Doha, Qatar. The university will eventually include over 30 buildings and colleges on this campus. To ensure a high level of excellence, however, many of the colleges will actually operate as satellite campuses of major universities in the United States. This unique arrangement required designs for distance education systems that exceed those found on even the best US campuses. EDI was chosen to provide the data/voice, data center, network, audio-visual, and the physical and electronic security systems design for two of these new colleges.
