Due to the increasing size of its staff, The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia constructed a new building to house the staff of the Board’s Office of Information and Instructional Technology (OIIT). More than 200 employees, who are involved with managing the complex computer systems for the university system’s 34 institutions, were relocated to this new site. EDI was hired to design, bid, and observe construction for the structured cabling, security, sound masking, and audio-visual systems, as well as the facility’s 2,000 sf data center. EDI also provided overall relocation planning and consulting for the data center relocation.
