Project Manager/Consultant - Healthcare IT

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide management oversight and hands-on production of all phases of healthcare IT projects, including defining scope, setting fees, design, developing timelines, delivery, quality, and ensuring overall client/owner satisfaction and profit for EDI. In conjunction to focusing on client interface is the internal management of the project team and deliverables.

This position will also focus on business development and marketing by developing healthcare IT project leads and referrals through networking with appropriate industry organizations and strategic management of existing client relationships. Will be required to participate in company meetings, including business development, marketing, strategy, and planning, as well as seek out “value-added” opportunities to promote EDI’s other consulting services to current clients.

Successful candidate will participate in developing EDI’s healthcare practice by attending professional developmental seminars and conferences to stay abreast of industry changes and advances, and provide general education and guidance for other EDI staff in support of healthcare IT expertise development.

Interpersonal Skills & Abilities Required:  Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective organizational and delegation skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task. AutoCAD and MS Office.

Technical Skills Required:  Healthcare IT infrastructures - voice communication, LAN & WLAN, physical security systems, cabling systems, nurse call, systems integration, audio-visual systems.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience Required:  Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ experience in consulting and design - healthcare IT experience preferred. EIT, PE credentials desired. Microsoft, Cisco, and BICSI credentials a plus.
