EDI’s Involvement: All Children’s Hospital was in the process of planning a major restructuring of their campus in 2004 when they came to EDI for assistance in technology planning. Beginning with Technology Master Planning, EDI proceeded to provide design and construction services for a new Replacement Hospital, Medical Office Building, Parking Deck, Central Energy Plant, Campus Fiber additions, and a total replacement of on and off-campus Security Systems.
Technology Master Planning: EDI provided the structure to allow the staff and management at All Children’s Hospital to realize their goals of intelligent integration, flexibility and sustainability, and future growth capacity. Having recent and in-depth experience in similar facilities, EDI was able to provide relevant input to the important technology and infrastructure decisions, including state-of-the-art systems and feature comparisons, industry trends, and probable costs. With this foundation, ACH was able to move on with their replacement facility design and construction with confidence that the end result would support their vision.
